Free Private Voice Translator — 25 Languages, Across Devices
Most "free" translators are data funnels: every sentence you type becomes someone else's training data. SovereignTranslator works the other way around. It's a free, private voice translator for 25 languages that runs in your browser — use it on a single phone passed back and forth, or connect two devices anywhere and talk directly, end-to-end encrypted. No account, no tracking.
Private by design
When your browser supports on-device translation (Chrome 138+ on desktop), your words never leave your machine — you'll see a 🔒 badge on the translation. Voice output always uses the voices already installed on your device, so it works offline. When a language pair isn't available on-device, a single phrase is sent to a free translation service (shown with a ☁ badge) — and a Sovereign mode toggle turns even that off, so nothing ever leaves your device. You always know exactly where each word goes.
Two-way translation on one device
Pick a language for each side, then type or tap the microphone. Every message is translated into the other language and read aloud — so you can hand a phone back and forth across a table. It's built for the moments translation actually happens: a clinic front desk, a market stall, a community meeting, a conversation with a neighbor.
Across devices, end-to-end encrypted
Tap Connect device, share a six-character code (or a link or QR), and two phones or laptops connect directly to each other. There's no server in the middle: the conversation runs over an encrypted WebRTC channel, so only the two devices can read it. Free relays do nothing but introduce the two devices — they never see your messages. Each person picks their own language, and everything is translated on arrival, on that person's device.
25 languages, with depth where it matters
The language list is weighted toward real-world communication, not just the easy ones:
- African: Swahili, Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, Zulu, Xhosa, Afrikaans, Amharic, Somali, Shona, Lingala, Malagasy.
- Pacific: Hawaiian, Māori, Samoan.
- World: English, Arabic, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Chinese, German, Russian, Filipino.
How to use it
- Open translator.sovereignagentics.io — no signup.
- Choose a language for each side, then type or tap 🎤 and speak.
- The translation appears and is read aloud in the other language.
- For two devices: tap Connect device → Create a room, share the code or QR, and the other person joins — then you each talk in your own language.
- Install it to your home screen (it's a PWA) to use it like an app, offline.
Common questions
Is it really free? Yes — solo translation and one-to-one cross-device, with no account, forever.
Does the cross-device chat use a server? No. Devices connect directly over WebRTC, end-to-end encrypted. Public relays only help the two devices find each other; they can't read your messages.
Does it work offline? Voice output and on-device translation work offline. Connecting two remote devices needs internet, as any device-to-device link does.
Do you store my conversations? No — there's no server, no database, and no analytics. Your settings stay in your own browser.
